Alberti Brass was formed in the late 1990s by graduates of the Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Music.  Since then the ensemble has enjoyed a busy schedule of recitals held in venues across Britain.

In 1999, Alberti Brass performed for HRH The Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle.  The quintet also appeared in recital at Blenheim Palace for a private event held by the Duke of Marlborough.  Other highlights have included performances at Lambeth Palace for the Archbishop of Canterbury and private events for the Rt Hons Michael Portillo MP and Simon Hughes MP.  Alberti Brass performs regularly for the Mayor of Southwark and played for the 60th anniversary WWII memorial service for Russian and European ambassadors held at the Imperial War Museum.  The quintet has given concerts at the Natural History Museum, the V&A Museum, the National Gallery and for the Farnborough Music Society.  In 2005, Alberti Brass opened the Tonbridge Wells Music Festival with a concert which included a newly commissioned fanfare for the event and was received with great acclaim.  The quintet played in Leominster in 2006 and is delighted to be returning for this evening's concert.

In addition to its recital work, Alberti Brass is in demand for providing music for weddings and corporate events.  The group has played for such occasions at Hampton Court Palace, the Dorchester Hotel, the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican, Whitehall Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare's Globe, the Guildhall and for Ralph Lauren.  Alberti Brass frequently provides ceremonial music at the graduation ceremonies of some of the country's foremost universities.

Numerous successful collaborations have been enjoyed with choirs including the St Albans Bach Choir and the London Chantry Choir.  The quintet is in particular demand each Christmas and in recent years has appeared annually at St Albans Cathedral and at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, the success of which has led to the recent release of Alberti Brass: The Christmas Album.  Music from this album can be heard on Classic FM in December.  This summer, Alberti Brass returned to the recording studio to record a CD of tango music by Astor Piazzolla which is now in production and set to be released soon.

Individually, the members of Alberti Brass are freelance musicians who play regularly with such orchestras and ensembles as London Brass, Royal Opera House, Philharmonia Orchestra, RPO, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Concert Orchestra, English Baroque Soloists and many West End shows.

Alberti Brass is committed to offering music education to all ages and levels.  The quintet gives lively workshops to young children introducing them to brass instruments and the members utilise their individual expertise in historic musical performance in leading senior school level and university masterclasses.
